Meet the team

Simon

Simon is our Canning Vale Showroom Manager, he has been in the industry for over ten years managing respected bicycle shops in Perth.He is good fun, very experienced, and enjoys road and off-road riding.

Many of our pro level riders trust Simon with their race machines for fine-tuning every week.

John

Where do we start with this fine fellow? He is the man who helped start up the Australian Time Trial Association. John is an ex-bike shop owner, with cycle shop management experience from all over the world. A trainer of world champion athletes and of course, he is a level 2 cycling coach in Australia! After many years of being in Tasmania and then Europe, it is exciting to have him back home and an absolute privilege to have John on the buzz team! If time trials are your thing, and you want to go faster.... then John is definitely your man!

Phil

Phil is our full-time Shop Assistant, and he is a very busy bee! He sells, builds, repairs, cleans, organises, and much more! He is committed to providing excellent service to our customers and is always willing to help out in any situation. Phil is very experienced in Road & Track racing, in fact.... he won the World Championships for the Olympic Sprint on the track in 1998!

Matt

"Hey everyone, I'm Matt 15 years young. I have liked riding bikes my whole life. Growing up I watched my dad race and I was always a little more interested in bikes than everyone else my age. I've always riden BMX bikes but then became a little more interested in road riding when I was about 10, so I started riding with Jeff's group rides. I currently race in the under 17's devision in road and track events. I was lucky enough that Jeff said he would see how I go working for him in mid 2007, and I have been working here since, learning as I go."

Matt won 1st place in the support race at the Perth Criterium Series "Perth Race" earlier this year!

Jodie

Jodie is our Accounts Manager and being Jeff's wife, she is actually the real boss!Amazingly talented to deal with all the children (Jeff included). Jodie has previously worked in business banking where she received professional excellence awards from the National Bank, she now organises the mass of paperwork that Jeff keeps creating for her.

Jeff

Jeff is the Managing Director of Cyclebuzz, and also currently the Online Store Manager.

Three generations of family bike shops and cycle racing knowledge passed down. Jeff has spent over 15 years buying, selling, fixing and racing bicycles. The last few years have been pretty intense with 4 children and 2 bike shops! Jeff's background is velodrome, criterium and road racing (ex state team / state medalist), and has also experienced MTB and DH racing.

For 2008/09 he has found a new passion for triathlon racing and has placed in Olympic & Sprint Distance races, and is just recently a very proud WA Ironman finisher!

Shannon

Shannon helps put the BUZZ into Cyclebuzz! You will not meet a more genuine and enthusiastic Triathlon Coach than Shannon, she has an amazing talent to motivate and help you achieve your goals whether it be swimming, cycling, or running related. Shannon cares more about your general health and well-being than you do!
